About Us
Mike King founded Mike King Heating & Cooling, Inc in Muncie, IN in March of 1999. He had worked for his dad in high school, but he decided he wanted to branch out and create his own company. We have always been small and family-owned, committed to being available for our customers 24/7, 365 days a year. Mike and his team are always there when someone needs them. We handle residential and commercial HVAC projects large and small. We carry a wide range of TEMPSTAR® products, but we are also proud to handle all makes and models!
Our Owners
Mike and Kari King are dedicated to providing efficient, thorough HVAC services for homes and businesses across Muncie, IN and the surrounding areas. Their goal is to treat every job like they are working in their own home, so that everything is done right the first time. Mike is the founder of the company, and he serves on the HVAC Board with the City of Muncie, and he is also a member of the Muncie Home Builders Association. Kari has always worked the office, and she has previously also worked at Ball State University. She now works at Mike King Heating & Cooling, Inc full time. Mike and Kari have two sons, Connor and Corbin.
To Our Loyal Customers:
As you may have heard, my husband and love of my life, Mike King, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 29th. I wanted to reach out to you all personally to let you know that we will be keeping Mike King Heating & Cooling Inc. open and running just like Mike would have wanted, even in this most difficult time.
Mike took great pride in caring for our customers like family; a value that he instilled in myself and our children, as well as throughout our company. It is because of you, our loyal customers, and the dedication of our experienced employees, that we will be able to continue forth with Mike’s commitment to providing excellent service and installation to all of our customers.

Kari King: Owner/President
In March 1989, Mike and I started dating when I was a sophomore in high school. I graduated from high school in 1992 and started attending Ball State University that summer. I graduated from BSU in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. During high school and in the years before we started Mike King Heating & Cooling, Inc., Mike worked for his father and ran a small pig operation, which I helped with every day. His father’s business was not heading in the direction we wanted to go, so we decided to start Mike King Heating & Cooling, Inc., in 1999. I never doubted that Mike would always provide for us and our family. I helped with the business whenever I could while also working at BSU. In 2001, I resigned from my position to raise our first son, Connor, who was born in May 2001, and to spend more time helping with the company we had started in 1999. We welcomed our second son, Corbin, in 2005. Since Mike’s passing, I have become more involved in the business again, working alongside my sons and our amazing team. I consider them family. They have stood by us, helped us grow, and made it possible for us to continue taking care of our wonderful customers, who also feel like family to us. We are a company that believes in taking care of our employees and customers. Mike believed in that wholeheartedly, and we are committed to carrying on his legacy and honoring his name for years to come.
Connor King: Vice President
I have been in the HVAC industry for what feels like my whole life. My dad, Mike King, started the company before I was born, and I remember helping him out in the shop and office when I was little. I graduated from Delta High School in 2019 and have been involved in the day-to-day operations of the company ever since. Since my dad’s passing, my mom and I have taken over the business. We have a great group of guys who help teach me things my dad wasn’t able to and who feel like part of the family. My dad treated everyone like a good friend and did things the way he would have wanted them done in his own home. I feel privileged to carry on his legacy.
Jeff Werckman: Office Manager
I have been in the heating and cooling industry since 1990. After spending 15 years in the HVAC wholesale industry, I joined Mike King Heating and Cooling in 2005, a leader in the local HVAC industry. I serve as the warehouse manager and also handle billing. Mike King Heating and Cooling is a great company to work for, with a great group of employees and a strong focus on putting customer service first.
Dakota Bell: Service Manager
I graduated from the University of Northwestern Ohio with a degree in HVAC in March 2019. I began my career as a service technician in April 2019 and have gained experience in both installation and service. Since December 2023, I have been employed at Mike King Heating and Cooling, where I was recently promoted to Service Manager. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my wife and two children, golfing, and racing my go-kart.
Michael Weaver: Sales
I have been with Mike King Heating and Cooling since 2012, working in the sales department. However, I have been in the HVAC industry since 1990. I live in Albany with my wife and our two daughters. Mike King always held every job to the highest standard of quality, and it is our goal to continue this tradition of quality and excellence.
Brandon Gillespie: Sales
I started working at Mike King Heating and Cooling in 2019 in the installation department and currently work in sales. I have been in the HVAC industry since 1996. I graduated from Muncie Southside High School and now live in Cowan with my wife and our three daughters. I enjoy working at Mike King Heating and Cooling because we have a great group of people who take pride in their craft and always put the customer first.
Corbin King: Install
Mike King, my dad, started the company in 1999, and it has always been a major part of my life. I graduated from Delta High School in 2024 and am currently attending Ball State University. During school breaks, I work for the business, helping with new installations, change-outs, and other company needs. Getting to know the employees has been a wonderful experience.
Robert Cox (Bob): Install
My name is Robert, but everyone calls me Bob. I have been with Mike King Heating & Cooling since 2020 and have been in the heating and cooling industry since 2018. I primarily work on residential installations and replacements. I enjoy spending time with my wife and our farm animals. I also love working with my hands, especially with wood, and making things from scratch.
Drayland Horn: Install
I have been in the HVAC industry since 2021 and graduated from Noblesville High School. I started working at Mike King Heating and Cooling in 2022 and now live in Elwood with my girlfriend. I have also attended college for welding and programming, and before entering the HVAC industry, I worked in customer service. I typically work on change-outs and new installations. I enjoy working with my coworkers and customers. In my free time, I enjoy having a cigar and playing golf.
Wesley Clements: Install
I started at Mike King Heating and Cooling in 2022, but I have been in the HVAC industry since 2002 and have held a lead installation position since 2004. I primarily work on commercial projects and always provide my employers and customers with quality installations, treating every project as if it were for my own home. Mike King Heating and Cooling maintains high standards for quality and offers a family-like atmosphere that makes it a great place to work. I have twins, Connor and Caylee, who are very active in baseball and volleyball, keeping me busy after work!
Dalton Gardner: Install
I began my journey in the HVAC industry at Mike King Heating and Cooling in 2025. Shortly before entering the field, I graduated from Muncie Central High School. I have a fiancée, and we have a toddler together. I typically work on the installation side, focusing on residential change-outs and new construction. I have really enjoyed the knowledge and experience I have gained in this field through hands-on work and learning from my coworkers. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball and spending time with my son!
Chase Snyder: Install
I have been in the HVAC industry since 2019, when I started working at Mike King Heating and Cooling. I graduated from Muncie Central High School and later married my beautiful wife, Ali. I work on the installation side at Mike King Heating and Cooling, primarily focusing on new residential construction and change-outs. In my free time, I enjoy sports and traveling.
Corey Seals: Install
I have been in the HVAC industry since graduating from Delta High School in 2012, when I started working at Mike King Heating and Cooling. I then worked in the operating business for a few years before returning to Mike King Heating and Cooling in 2023. I have been married since 2019 and live in Dunkirk with my wife and kids. I enjoy working at Mike King Heating and Cooling because you’re treated like family, the environment is relaxed, and you gain knowledge and experience every day.
Brandon Wright: Install
I have been with Mike King Heating and Cooling as a lead installer since 2019, but I have worked in the HVAC industry since 2008. I typically handle commercial installations for the company. I graduated from Delta High School in 2007 and currently live in Eaton with my wife and daughter. I enjoy working for a company that treats its employees and customers like family.
David Holst: Service
I completed my HVAC technical certificate at Ivy Tech Community College in the spring of 2026 and began working at Mike King Heating and Cooling as a service technician. I enjoy solving problems and building relationships with customers to better serve them in the future. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors, riding my motorcycle, or hanging out with friends.
Leah Lahman: Service
I’m from Wayne County and graduated from Hagerstown High School in 2020. I then attended Ivy Tech Community College in Muncie, where I earned an associate degree in Construction Building Technology in 2025 and an associate degree in HVAC in 2026. I have been with Mike King Heating and Cooling since the summer of 2025. I enjoy working with my hands, getting to know customers, helping them improve their understanding of HVAC systems, and getting their systems back up and running when they break down. In my free time, I enjoy hunkering down with a good book. At home, I have a dog named Ozzy, and I’m always adding to my gemstone collection!
Luke Thomas: Service
I have been with Mike King Heating and Cooling as a service technician since 2023. I married my wife in 2026, and we live in Marion. Growing up, I had many family members and friends who worked in the trades. I have always had a passion for helping people and developing the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to diagnose and resolve problems. After graduating from Eastbrook High School in 2022, I became interested in HVAC because I enjoy hands-on work, visiting different places, meeting new people, and fixing their systems when they need help. Since starting at Mike King Heating and Cooling, I have enjoyed learning new things every day and expanding my knowledge so I can better help our customers. In my free time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
Marci Loveall: Dispatcher
I have worked in customer service for pretty much my entire adult life, but I have been in the HVAC industry since 2019. I have a passion for helping others, and although I never intended to work in this field, an opportunity came along after I lost my job during COVID. I quickly realized that not only do I enjoy this work, but I also find it very rewarding to help our customers. I have been the dispatcher at Mike King Heating and Cooling since 2024. In my free time, you can usually find me refereeing a soccer game or spending time with my family and pets.
